IMMEDIATE HIRE:
Janitor / Floor Technician
Location: Surfside Beach / Myrtle Beach Area
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Some evening and night work may be required)
Pay Rate: $15.00 – $20.00 per hour (based on experience)
Job Summary
Olsten Staffing is seeking a dependable and hardworking Janitor/Floor Technician to join our team in the Surfside Beach area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of commercial facilities through routine janitorial duties and specialized floor care services. Candidates should be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Janitorial Responsibilities
Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, offices, and common areas
Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors
Dust furniture, fixtures, and surfaces
Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
Clean windows, glass doors, and mirrors
Maintain cleanliness of entrances, hallways, and work areas
Restock cleaning and restroom supplies as needed
Must have a valid driver's license and dependable transportation
Floor Technician Responsibilities
Strip, wax, and buff floors
Operate floor scrubbers, buffers, and other floor maintenance equipment
Perform routine floor maintenance and floor restoration
Clean and maintain carpeted and hard-surface flooring
Identify flooring issues and report maintenance concerns
Additional Duties
Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Properly use and store cleaning chemicals and equipment
Complete assigned work orders and special cleaning projects
Assist with other maintenance and janitorial tasks as assigned
Qualifications
Previous janitorial or floor technician experience preferred
Experience with floor stripping and waxing is highly preferred
Ability to safely operate floor care equipment
Reliable transportation and excellent attendance record
Ability to lift to 50 pounds and perform physical labor
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
