Belt Attendant – Using Pallet Tags
Overview
The Belt Attendant works in a warehouse/distribution center building pallets by scanning cartons and stacking them correctly. The role involves operating a pallet-tagging system, verifying cartons, printing pallet labels, and preparing pallets for shipment.
Key Responsibilities
Log into the pallet system using your name and password.
Create and build pallets in the system (option #16).
Scan carton barcodes and place the cartons onto the pallet.
Monitor carton counts displayed by the system.
Check labels and barcodes to ensure they are readable and match the pallet contents.
Print pallet labels once the pallet is complete and place labels on all four sides after wrapping.
Replace completed pallets with empty ones and start a new pallet.
Handling Errors
The system alerts the operator if:
A carton is scanned twice.
A carton does not belong to that pallet (wrong group, pool, or distribution center).
In those cases, the operator must:

Remove cartons from a pallet in the system if needed.
Reopen pallets to add additional cartons.
Follow pallet rules and only change settings with supervisor approval.
Physical Requirements
Walk or stand for long periods.
Lift up to 40 lbs.
Push, pull, or move heavier products using equipment.

Ensure every carton is scanned before being placed on a pallet.
Regularly verify carton counts in the system.
Close pallets at the end of the shift.
Pay Details: $11.66 per hour
