MPC 2nd shift

Olsten is assisting in recruiting for a current 2nd MPC position for a well-established company located in Mullins, SC. If you meet the following requirements pleases click on Apply Now.
 

1. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

• Set up printer & confirm codes to MPC spread sheet.
• Calibrate scales
• Check analytically in fruit to make sure the brix, ascorbic acid, and PH is in the correct range.
• Check moisture (correct water amount used in product), bostwicks (product is the correct thickness), and check metal detectors (product free from all metal).  
• Check pouches every 30 minutes for defects & record. Verify codes are correct.
• Pouch testing includes net weight, residual gas, fill variations, and internal pressure. Use three side machine using 25 psi for 30 seconds to ensure seals are strong and durable.
• Notify management of any non-conforming findings.
• Document variables sheet
• Verify artwork on pouches to ensure the correct pouches are being used. Verify codes throughout shift to ensure code is correct.
• Periodically spot check pouches on line. Check one pouch per each retort to confirm product texture ,color and weights are correct
•  performs related duties as assigned by supervision
• Keep work area clean at all times.

 

1. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
2. High school diploma or GED preferred

 

1. JOB KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS & ABILITIES:
2. Prior inspector experience
3. Strong math skills
4. Ability to initiate problem solving skills

 

1. TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
2. GMP’S
3. General safety
4. Video review controlling food allergens in the plant, food safety, food security

 

1. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
2. Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
3. Must be able to handle long time standing and walking
4. Must be able to stoop and bend.

Pay Details: $14.00 per hour
