Front Desk Receptionist / Switchboard Operator

Location: Florence, SC
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Pay: $13.00 per hour

Olsten Staffing is currently seeking a professional, dependable, and customer-focused Front Desk Receptionist/Switchboard Operator for a busy medical office in Florence, SC. Key Responsibilities

• Operate and manage a multi-line switchboard efficiently and accurately.

• Greet and assist patients, families, visitors, and medical staff with a positive, professional attitude.

• Check in patients for both the Well and Sick sides of the medical practice, ensuring accurate registration and verification of patient information.

• Answer, screen, and direct incoming calls promptly.

• Schedule and confirm patient appointments as needed.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date call logs and documentation.

• Respond quickly and calmly during emergency situations, ensuring effective communication.

• Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.

• Perform general front desk and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

• Familiarity with medical terminology preferred.

• Ability to remain calm, organized, and professional under pressure.

• Strong multitasking, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Previous medical office, patient registration, or switchboard experience is preferred.

Pay Details: $13.00 per hour
