Olsten Staffing is currently recruiting for an Office Staff – Shipping/Receiving & Warehouse Operations position in the Florence, SC area.
Pay Rate: $19.00–$21.00 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Position Summary
The Office Staff team supports the Shipping and Receiving Department by coordinating documentation, scheduling, inventory records, and communication between internal teams, carriers, and customers. This role plays a key part in ensuring shipments are processed accurately, records are maintained properly, and daily operations run efficiently.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Shipping & Receiving Coordination
• Monitor incoming and outgoing shipments and transportation schedules.
• Prepare, review, and distribute shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing slips, and related paperwork.
• Verify shipment details against purchase orders and inventory records.
• Communicate shipment schedules, updates, and delays to carriers, drivers, and internal departments.
• Maintain accurate shipment tracking records and logs.
Documentation & Recordkeeping
• File, organize, and archive shipping, receiving, and inventory documentation.
• Maintain accurate records within warehouse management systems and ERP platforms.
• Verify invoices and shipping charges for accuracy when applicable.
• Generate reports and maintain operational records.
Customer & Carrier Relations
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding shipment status and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate pickup and delivery times with carriers and transportation providers.
• Assist with resolving shipment discrepancies, damages, and claims.
Inventory & Compliance Support
• Assist with inventory audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation of discrepancies.
• Support compliance with company policies, safety procedures, DOT and OSHA regulations, and other applicable requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality of company information and records.
Administrative Support
• Answer and direct incoming phone calls, emails, and other communications.
• Maintain office supplies and notify management when replenishment is needed.
• Assist management with reports, spreadsheets, and operational summaries.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in shipping, receiving, logistics, warehouse administration, or a related field.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, or SAP preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated initiative, accountability, and leadership potential.
Physical Requirements
• Primarily office-based with occasional work throughout the warehouse.
• Ability to lift to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout warehouse facilities as needed.
