Olsten Staffing – Line Assembler
Location: Florence, SC
Shift: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Pay Rate: $14.70/hour
Position Summary
Olsten Staffing is seeking motivated and detail-oriented Line Assemblers to set up and operate hand-fed equipment to produce various products on an assembly line. The role requires adherence to safety protocols, efficient workflow, and teamwork to meet quality and production standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Set up cartons, box lids, and other materials in preparation for production
- Operate various production machines, including Manual B, Manual K, Eyelet, U Clip, Scott 1800, Laminator, Shrink Wrap, Metal Tab, End Tab, and Wallet Manual Lines
- Load raw materials, inspect finished products, and ensure smooth product flow
- Count, sort, pack, and stack products according to warehouse requirements
- Transport skids of product to staging areas using hand jacks
- Maintain cleanliness and organization around machines, aisles, and packing areas
- Perform routine machine cleaning, lubrication, and inspections following CLAIR and TPM processes
- Monitor product quality, identify issues, and troubleshoot machinery as needed
- Adhere to all safety policies, including lock-out/tag-out procedures and PPE usage
- Follow Smead policies regarding attendance, dress, substance abuse, and workplace behavior
- Collaborate effectively with team members to support cell operations and continuous improvement initiatives
- Perform additional duties as assigned to meet business goals and customer satisfaction

- Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong teamwork and active listening skills
- Mechanical aptitude and basic math skills
- Ability to maintain production pace and meet efficiency standards
- Physically capable of performing essential job functions
Experience Requirements
- High work ethic, professional attitude, and positive approach
- Manufacturing experience preferred
Equipment Requirements
- Ability to operate standard hand tools, hand lift trucks, and basic measuring tools (calculator, ruler)
- Experience with assembly line machinery preferred
Education
- High School Diploma required
- Training on hazardous materials provided if applicable (OSHA standards)

Pay Details: $14.70 per hour
