Olsten Staffing Services is currently assisting a local client in their search to fill a Quality Inspector in Manning, SC.
Position Summary:
Responsible for inspection of raw materials, work-in-process, and finish goods in accordance with associated specifications. Also responsible for performing random audits as required for ensuring products and processes meet the appropriate specifications.
Duties AND Responsibilities:
Perform documented quality inspections of products and processes.
Inspect product quality, using standard methods, against published specifications.
Reject non-conforming products in accordance with document 4.13-01 Control of Non-Conforming Products. Recommend alternate uses / disposition of off spec components.
Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
Able to use email, Excel, and Monday.com.
Data entry and analysis of Quality metrics: urethane start-up, scrap dashboard, etc.
Inspect and catalog urethane “tortillas”
Inspect and document daily scrap
Perform documented calibrations of Quality instruments
Assist in on-the-job training of production staff with an emphasis on quality
Inspect incoming raw materials
Clean and maintain work area.
Accurately complete process documents, e.g. work orders, start-up inspection forms, etc.
Promote teamwork and build a culture of continuous improvement
Other duties as assigned
Skills and Abilities:
Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
Strong print reading skills
An excellent eye for detail
Excellent basic inspection skills with using a tape measure, calipers, height gage, and micrometers.
Strong computer skills with MS Office applications.
Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers
Ability to lift 50 pounds required.
Able to work overtime as needed.
Able to perform all duties and responsibilities listed safely and wear Personal Protective Equipment as required.
Able to report every workday, on time and for the entire shift.
Must have positive attitude and strong work ethic

Pay Details: $16.00 per hour
