Olsten Staffing Services is currently assisting a local client in their search to fill a Production Support position in Manning, SC. This is a temporary opportunity that could develop into a permanent position.
Job Summary:
Provides efficient and professional support to Production and Planning staff. Responsible for all administrative duties related to the processing of finished goods and raw material which includes, but is not limited to, creating and updating schedules, preparing and printing documentation and labels for work orders, and processing data in NAV.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate office machinery such as copy machines, scanners, printers, and personal computers.
Take inventory of Production Support supplies and request materials as needed.
Create and prepare provided schedule documents and approved labels for released schedules, prototypes and samples.
Accurately enter data into NAV for completed work orders, materials forms, email requests, or other documents as needed.
Maintain an organized system to track the creation and release of Schedule documents, labels, and other supporting materials required.
Provide Production with required documents and materials in a timely manner that is in line with the order of the Schedule.
Create, update and distribute daily productivity reports.
Sort and scan daily completed work orders, material requests, inventory adjustments and other supporting documents into their appropriate location in the shared drive.
Assist with cycle counts, discrepancy research and inventory adjustments as needed.
Assist in creating and printing documentation needed for prototypes, and updating the Production and Engineering teams on their status in Production as it is submitted to the office.
Serve as a verification checkpoint for all finished products released from production.
Ensure the work area is clean and safe, and completing other duties as they are assigned.
Qualifications for Position:
Basic reading and writing in English, and basic arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
Self-starter able to function effectively in a fast-paced growing company and adapt to change.
A strong sense of urgency and impeccable follow through.
Ability to work independently or in group settings.
Excellent attention to detail.
Flexible and able to multi-task.
Superb time management and organization skills.
Strong computer skills with an emphasis in typing, Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, vendors and customers.
Able to work overtime as needed.
Able to report to work on time each workday.
Must have positive attitude and strong work ethics
Working conditions are normal for an office environment. The warehouse area is not climate controlled and can get hot during summer and cold during winter months. Must be able to perform tasks in a sitting position for extended periods of time.
Pay Details: $18.00 per hour
