Assembly Operator

About the Role

Olsten Staffing seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Assembly Operator for a very prominent client in the Hartsville area. In this role, you will assemble parts and components according to established procedures, ensuring that all products meet quality and production standards. This position requires accuracy, consistency, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble parts and components following special instructions, routings, and blueprints.

  • Deburr, grind, and buff parts as needed.

  • Accurately record time and steps on labor sheets for each assembly process.

  • Review job packages including final cards, instructions, blueprints, and test procedures.

  • Inspect parts for cleanliness, defects, and quality standards.

  • Send completed assemblies to testing or final quality assurance inspection.

  • Repair or rework nonconforming products when required.

  • Clean, assemble, disassemble, and replace components as directed.

  • Operate various tools including drill presses, arbor presses, pneumatic tools, and hand tools.

  • Safely handle chemicals, adhesives, solvents, lubricants, epoxies, paints, and inks.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to prevent foreign object damage.

  • Communicate progress, challenges, and work status with the production supervisor.


Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required, or

  • One year of related assembly experience or equivalent training and experience.


Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent mathematical abilities.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical instructions.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  • Ability to meet production goals and maintain efficiency.

Pay Details: $13.50 per hour
