About the Role
Olsten Staffing is seeking a technical professional to support the deployment, management, and troubleshooting of Data Collection Agents (DCAs). This software monitors printer fleets and plays a major role in preventing revenue loss and supporting operational efficiency.
What is a Data Collection Agent (DCA)?
A DCA is a secure software application installed on a client's network to monitor their multifunction printer fleet by:
Monitoring Usage: Tracking page counts for billing and optimization
Tracking Supplies: Reporting low toner/ink levels for proactive replenishment
Status Alerts: Identifying device errors and service needs
Security: Collecting hardware metadata only (read‑only; no document access)
DCA Specialist Responsibilities
Install and configure DCAs remotely or on‑site
Troubleshoot connectivity and firewall issues
Ensure proper fleet mapping and device identification
Verify accurate meter reads and supply reporting
Maintain communication between client devices and the MPS management system
Required Technical Skills
Experience with Data Collection Agents such as FM Audit or EKM
Strong understanding of TCP/IP and SNMP
Ability to work through firewall and network monitoring settings
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Familiarity with MFP hardware (HP, Xerox, Lexmark, Toshiba)
CRM system experience
Preferred CertificationsÂ

Ability to explain technical issues to non‑technical users
Excellent organization and time management
Customer‑service oriented
Accounting background is a plus (not required)

Pay Details: $20.00 per hour
