Olsten Staffing is currently recruiting for a Mailroom Specialist. This company supports specialty insurance markets including property, casualty, extended device protection, and preneed insurance. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who are detail‑oriented, dependable, and experienced in mailroom operations.

⭐ Position: Mailroom Specialist

Location: Florence, SC (Onsite)
Assignment Type: Temp
Pay Rate: $16.00/hr
Schedule:

  • Monday: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM

  • Tuesday–Thursday: 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM

  • Friday: 6:45 AM – 3:00 PM

Start: 04/2026
Dress Code: Professional
Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Clean driving record (must be verifiable)

  • Previous mailroom experience required


📞 What Does a Mailroom Specialist Do?

This position plays a crucial role in handling inbound and outbound mail operations. You will also drive a box van to pick up mail from various vendors and transport heavy mail racks. Candidates must be comfortable with physical work, accuracy, and fast‑paced processes.


🛠 Key Responsibilities

  • Drive a box van to collect mail from multiple vendor locations

  • Push heavy mail racks weighing hundreds of pounds

  • Open, prep, and scan incoming mail

  • Prep electronic incoming mail (E‑Prep/FTP)

  • Process outbound mail using postal equipment (mail inserters, postage meters, computers)

  • Handle outgoing overnight packages

  • Perform general mail services associate tasks

  • Maintain accurate documentation

  • Perform additional duties as assigned


🎓 Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required


✔ Knowledge, Skills & Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand or sit for long periods

  • Basic computer skills

  • Strong decision‑making skills

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Ability to handle varying assignments

  • Ability to learn multiple procedures and workflows

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds


📌 Previous Experience

  • Mailroom experience is required

  • Experience operating mail equipment preferred

  • Driving/route experience a plus

Pay Details: $16.00 per hour
