Olsten Staffing is assisting a client local to Sumter, SC in their search for an experienced AP Accountant. As an AP Accountant you will perform full‐cycle accounts payable functions within a manufacturing environment, ensuring accurate processing, timely payments, and proper documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Distribute incoming vendor invoices and credit memos to purchasers and other responsible parties for review and approval

• Review invoices to determine the correct sales tax treatment

• Verify dual approvals from appropriate parties before entering invoices into ERP system

• Enter and post vendor invoices and credit memos to the general ledger in ERP system, and maintain filing until payment processing

• Process weekly payments via check, wire, and ACH to ensure on-time remittance

• Respond promptly to vendor inquiries regarding account balances, payment status, and credit references

• Set up new vendors in Navision upon receipt of purchaser requests

• Maintain current W-9 records for all vendors and track annual 1099 eligibility

• Request new credit cards for eligible employees and reconcile existing cards

• Download statements from the card website and distribute to cardholders

• Reconcile receipts against statements and obtain management approval

Additional Duties

• Prepare ad hoc reports at the request of a supervisor or member of management

• Support special projects and complete other tasks as assigned

Month-End Close

• Ensure all invoices are entered in ERP system prior to month-end close to support accurate financial reporting

Required Qualifications

Education & Certification

• Two‐year degree in Accounting or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

• High School diploma or GED

Experience

• Minimum of two years’ hands-on accounts payable or related experience in a manufacturing setting

Technical Skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, data analysis)

• Working knowledge of ERP systems or relational databases

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities

Pay Details: $25.00 per hour
