Olsten Staffing is Hiring Maintenance Mechanics – Effingham, SC
Shifts Available: 1st and 2nd Shift
Pay Rate: $18–$25/hour (based on experience)
We are currently recruiting Industrial Maintenance Mechanics for a leading facility in the Effingham area. If you have a strong mechanical background and enjoy hands-on work in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventive maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production equipment
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical malfunctions using diagnostic tools and testing instruments
Dismantle machines to remove and replace defective parts using hand tools, hoists, and cranes
Inspect and measure worn parts using calipers, micrometers, and precision instruments
Adjust, align, and calibrate mechanical components and control instruments
Communicate with production staff on maintenance procedures and ensure compliance
Fabricate or modify parts as needed using machine shop tools
Maintain equipment inventory and manage parts ordering
Document maintenance activities, issues, and resolutions
Stay current with industry knowledge by attending workshops and reviewing technical publications
Ensure a clean and safe work environment at all times
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic
Familiarity with production machinery and industrial tools
Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
High attention to safety and detail

Pay Details: $18.00 to $25.00 per hour
