Electrical Engineer
Location: Florence, SC
Contract Length: 12+ Months
Pay Rate: $40–$45/hour

Olsten Staffing is currently seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer with 4–6 years of experience for a well-known company in the Florence, SC area. This is a contract opportunity with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.
Job Overview:
This role focuses on providing product support for a variety of existing elevator components and electrical systems. You'll play a key part in New Product Introduction (NPI) and Product Support, integrating new component designs into current systems while ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead NPI efforts and provide ongoing product support
Integrate new components into legacy systems
Manage project cost and schedule commitments
Collaborate with global cross-functional teams
Conduct needs analysis, cost-benefit analysis, and risk assessments
Lead and conduct Electrical Qualification Testing
Support FMEA activities and requirements verification
Analyze schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings
Troubleshoot and solve complex system issues
Collaborate with mechanical, software, manufacturing, and field teams
Support strategic planning, engineering, and testing activities
Perform PCB updates and support test activities
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent experience)
4+ years of relevant experience
Knowledge of power distribution, protection, and control systems
Familiarity with North American electrical codes and standards (UL, CSA, ASME, NFPA, NEC, etc.)
Proficient in interpreting wiring diagrams, motor controls, and system analysis
Experience with ECAD tools (e.g., Cadence, AutoCAD, E3, Creo)
Understanding of PCB assembly and general manufacturing processes
Experience working with suppliers and regulatory agencies
Proficient with test and measurement equipment
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Elevator systems experience is a plus
Additional Requirements:
Hands-on lab and troubleshooting experience
Ability to manage abstract concepts and turn them into actionable plans
Experience working in cross-functional, matrixed teams

Pay Details: $40.00 to $45.00 per hour
