Olsten Staffing is assisting a local client in Cheraw, South Carolina to find an experienced and eager Bander Operator to join their growing team!
The Bander Operator is responsible for ensuring finished aluminum can pallets are properly inspected, secured, labeled, and prepared for shipment. This role supports production efficiency by operating banding equipment, performing quality inspections, completing production documentation, and maintaining a safe work environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Quality Control

Inspect finished pallets for scratches, dents, bad lithography, and other defects.

Notify Quality Control and supervisors immediately of any quality concerns.

Verify all pallets meet company standards before shipment.
Machine Operation
-
Operate and monitor banding/strapping equipment.

Re-thread strapping materials and make minor machine adjustments as needed.

Clean banding heads and maintain equipment for efficient operation.

Check and verify proper band tension throughout the shift.
Labeling & Documentation
-
Use computer systems to generate pallet labels and shipping paperwork.

Print production tickets and complete certification documents accurately.

Maintain production records and ensure documentation is completed correctly.
Safety & Housekeeping

Follow all safety policies and procedures.

Wear required PPE at all times.

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Work safely around moving equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
-
High school diploma or GED preferred.
-
Previous manufacturing, warehouse, machine operation, or production experience preferred.

Basic computer skills required.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout a 12-hour shift.
Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions.

Ability to work in a loud manufacturing environment.
Work Environment
-
Fast-paced aluminum can manufacturing facility.
-
Exposure to moving machinery, noise, and industrial conditions.

Must be willing to work overnight hours and overtime as needed.
Pay rate for this position is $14 an hour with a chance to become permanent with the client.
This position is 3rd shift with the hours of 6:30am - 7am.

Pay Details: $14.00 per hour
