Olsten Staffing is assisting a local client in the Cheraw, South Carolina area to find an experienced and eager 1st shift utility worker to join their growing team!
A utility worker is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment in high-dirt, heavy-use areas. This role focuses on cleaning industrial spaces, removing debris, dust, grease, and waste to support safe and efficient operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform daily cleaning of warehouse floors, docks, aisles, storage areas, and workstations.
Sweep, mop, scrub, and pressure wash floors to remove dirt, dust, oil, and debris.
Empty trash, scrap, and recycling containers throughout the facility.
Clean around machinery, conveyors, racking, and production areas, following safety guidelines.
Remove cardboard, pallets, and other materials to keep work areas clear.
Clean restrooms, break rooms, and common areas as assigned.
Refill supplies such as paper towels, soap, and hand sanitizer.
Report safety hazards, spills, or maintenance issues to supervisor.
Follow all company safety policies, including lockout/tagout and PPE requirements.
Assist with special projects such as deep cleaning, shutdown cleaning, and facility clean-ups.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous industrial or warehouse cleaning experience a plus.
Ability to work in dirty, dusty, and physically demanding environments.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand, bend, and walk for extended periods.
Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision.
Work Environment:
Industrial warehouse setting with exposure to dust, dirt, noise, and temperature changes.
May require use of cleaning chemicals and equipment such as floor scrubbers or pressure washers.
This position will start at $12.00 an hour and is predominantly 1st shift.

Pay Details: $12.00 per hour
