Olsten Staffing is assisting a local client in Pageland, South Carolina to find an experienced and eager maintenance technician to join their growing team!

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production line equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted manufacturing operations. This role supports continuous production by performing preventive maintenance, responding to equipment breakdowns, and assisting with equipment upgrades and installations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on production line machinery and equipment

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems

  • Respond promptly to production line breakdowns to minimize downtime

  • Inspect equipment to identify wear, damage, or potential failures

  • Adjust, calibrate, and test machinery to ensure optimal performance

  • Support installation and commissioning of new production equipment

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and parts usage

  • Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout protocols, and company policies

  • Collaborate with production operators and supervisors to resolve equipment issues

  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to increase equipment reliability and efficiency

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience working as a Maintenance Technician in a production or manufacturing environment

  • Strong knowledge of production line equipment and automated systems

  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints

  • Mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting skills

  • Familiarity with PLCs, sensors, motors, conveyors, and industrial machinery

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong problem-solving and time-management skills

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification or vocational training preferred)

  • 2+ years of maintenance experience on a production line (preferred)

Working Conditions:

  • May require standing for long periods, lifting heavy components, and working in a fast-paced environment

  • Willingness to work shifts, overtime, or on-call as needed

Pay rate for this position is $19 an hour.

Pay Details: $19.00 per hour
