Olsten Staffing is currently seeking a Lumber Sorter for a client in Laurinburg, NC. This is a great entry-level, temp-to-permanent opportunity with room to grow!
Position Details:

  • Shift: 1st Shift | 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM

  • Overtime: Currently working up to 6:30 PM

  • Pay: $14.00/hour

  • Type: Temp-to-Perm

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure lumber bays have space for incoming materials

  • Monitor and sort lumber, removing defective boards from the line

  • Drop lumber from bays while ensuring correct placement and flow

  • Communicate lumber quantity and grade to stacker operators via radio and visual signals

  • Maintain steady production flow by adjusting and correcting lumber as needed

  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Work Environment:

  • Standing on a production line throughout the shift

  • Inspecting pallet boards and removing defective pieces

Requirements:

  • Steel toe boots required

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Good communication skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Pay Details: $14.00 per hour
