Olsten Staffing is seeking a Loom Fixer to repair and maintain plant twisting and weaving machinery, along with supporting equipment. This role is critical in ensuring production equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably while supporting overall production operations.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance and mechanical repairs on twisting and weaving machinery
Ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently to support production goals
Complete scheduled and preventive maintenance on production machinery and support equipment
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and assist with resolving equipment breakdowns
Assist maintenance team members with plant equipment issues and support cross-training in other departments as needed
Replace parts and maintain accurate documentation according to established procedures
Help monitor and maintain parts inventory, reporting usage to supervisors
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Perform general plant maintenance as needed
Support continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S and TPM
Complete CMMS work orders and maintenance requests in a timely and accurate manner
Assist with maintenance projects, shutdown work, and team support as needed
Work independently or as part of a team to complete assigned tasks
Perform other duties as assigned

Ability to gather and analyze information to make sound decisions
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong time management and organizational abilities
Ability to work collaboratively across departments
Willingness to learn and expand technical knowledge
Work Environment
This position works throughout a manufacturing facility and involves exposure to production equipment, varying temperatures, and industrial conditions.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 45 pounds occasionally
Ability to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and work in confined or awkward positions
Ability to use hand and power tools regularly
Comfortable working in high temperatures and dusty environments
Schedule
This is a full-time position. Shifts may include:
1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Overtime may be required, including weekends, holidays, plant shutdowns, and after-hours maintenance work.

Pay Details: $23.49 to $26.54 per hour
